The care our son received from Christina exceeded any expectations we could have ever imagined. We watched our son thrive and develop in the most beautiful ways, and we are so grateful he experienced this during the early formative years of his life. Christina’s focus on using nature as both a classroom and a teacher taught our son how to explore himself and his surroundings, build his confidence and adventurism, while reinforcing the important values of nature we know he will now carry throughout life.

We are incredibly impressed with Christina's quality of care for our child. She provides intentional, age-appropriate, open-ended play activities indoors and out for our son and challenges him to meet a high expectation for behavior and responsibility. He absolutely LOVES to go to her house and regularly asks to go more often. He feels so proud and confident after a day at her house. The no screen time policy and consistent outdoor play really matches our parenting goals and supports our son's skill development. It is a supportive community for the entire family. We cannot recommend her enough.

Christina is uniquely and singularly qualified to teach young children core values. Her patience, passion, grace, warmth, genuineness, and love immediately put my 3yr old twins at ease. I consider myself beyond lucky to have found her and to have my boys in her care, and I have personally learned from her how to show up more authentically for my kids and family.

Ongoing enrollment for the 2025/2026 school year. The first step is to reach out through the website contact page or email me directly at foxwalkchildcare@gmail.com and we will find a time where you and your child can visit me here on the ranch. I look forward to meeting you and talking with you more!
I like to allow room for emergent curriculum and the flexibility to meet the different needs of the children that can vary each day. For this reason, I do not hold a hard schedule. However, our days most often flow as follows:
At this time, I am the only mentor with three children. Once licensed, it is possible that I will mentor up to five children.
I am purposely keeping the class size small with the intention of it feeling like a home away from home; easy and comfortable for each child to navigate the relationships of their class community.
This program costs $880/month for four days/week and $440/month for two days/week, which works out to about $55/day. Payment is due by the first of each month. Though I collect payment monthly, I am looking for families committed to enrolling for the entire school year.
Currently, only half days are being offered. I am considering offering full days on Tuesdays and Thursdays if there is enough interest. Please reach out if you have specific needs/times outside of the hours specified to see if there is anything I can do to meet your request.
Though a majority of our time is spent outdoors, I do have an indoor space as well. This indoor space is often used for welcoming circle at the beginning of the day and for lunch and crafts at the end of the day with the rest of our time being spent outside.
Not yet. I am currently in the process of becoming a licensed in-home child care provider. I am expecting to be licensed by the time the 2025/2026 school year starts. While that process is unfolding, and for the last two year, I have run under Colorado Law which allows up to four children to be watched by one caregiver in the home without a license. Once licensed I will legally running as a small family in-home childcare and will look into being a part of UPK.
Hi!
I’m Christina.
To understand what Fox Walk is, first I must share that it is my path as a mother that got me here. My two children are my inspiration. They have taught me so much about holding space and being present in a way that gifts them the support they need and the tools to thrive. Being outside in Nature and practicing the Earth Skills are some of the vital tools that have become a way of life for me and my family that I am passionate about passing on.
I fell in love with living and working outside early on in my life, even before stepping into motherhood. Alongside enjoying everything outdoor recreation in general, I spent several years leading trail crews through Rocky Mountain Youth Corps and Colorado Fourteeners Initiative. We worked and camped high in the mountains above tree line, often for six months at a time, and only came down for supplies when necessary. This experience instilled in me the value of living in a deeply connected community and with a true sense of belonging - to feel at home in the outside world all seasons and all weather patterns. And it is this experience that sparked in me the passion to learn more specific connective mentoring practices; guiding my own children alongside other members of the community to find their own sense of belonging and place in the natural world.
My specific Connection Mentoring and Earth Skills training comes through Tom Brown Jr.'s Tracker School and Jon Young's 8 Shields Institute (now the Connection1st Village) alongside 4 Elements Earth Education Teacher Training. I have also been an active parent in Montessori inspired education, Waldorf inspired education, and the Homeschooling community. At Fox Walk I combine what I have learned from each of these modalities because I believe there isn’t just one way. Every child is different with unique talents, passions and needs. Fox Walk is structured to meet each child in dynamic and nurturing ways. I am also here to guide and meet each child alongside your vision for what education at this young age looks like.
