How and when can I enroll my child?
Ongoing enrollment for the 2025/2026 school year. The first step is to reach out through the website contact page or contact me directly at foxwalkchildcare@gmail.com and we will find a time where you and your child can visit me here on the ranch. I look forward to meeting you and talking with you more!
What does a typical day look like?
I like to allow room for emergent curriculum and the flexibility to meet the different needs of the children that can vary each day. For this reason, I do not hold a hard schedule. However, our days most often flow as follows:
Are there any full day options or extended care possibilities?
Currently, only half days are being offered. I am considering offering full days on Tuesdays and Thursdays if there is enough interest. Please reach out if you have specific needs/times outside of the hours specified to see if there is anything I can do to meet your request.
How many children and and how many teachers are there?
At this time, I am the only mentor with three children. Once licensed, it is possible that I will mentor up to five children.
I am purposely keeping the class size small with the intention of it feeling like a home away from home; easy and comfortable for each child to navigate the relationships of their class community.
Is this a 100% outdoor school?
No. Though a majority of our time is spent outdoors, I do have an indoor space as well. This indoor space is often used for welcoming circle at the beginning of the day and for lunch and crafts at the end of the day with the rest of our time spent outside.
How much does this program cost?
This program costs $880/month for four days/week and $440/month for two days/week, which works out to about $55/day. Payment is due by the first of each month. Though I collect payment monthly, I am looking for families committed to enrolling for the entire school year.
Are you a licensed preschool and can the UPK program be applied?
Not yet. I am currently in the process of becoming a licensed in-home child care provider. I am expecting to be licensed by the time the 2025/2026 school year starts. While that process is unfolding, and for the last two year, I have run under Colorado Law which allows up to four children to be watched by one caregiver in the home without a license. Once licensed I will be legally running as a small family in-home childcare and will look into being a part of UPK.
